James Sewell Ballet - March 19th 7:30PM   James Sewell Ballet (JSB) was founded in New York City by James Sewell and Sally Rousse.  In 1993, they made the bold decision to move the company to Minneapolis. They envisioned a close-knit company of dance artists willing to both challenge physical limits and expand notions about ballet. Now, these many years later, critically acclaimed performances by JSB move and delight audiences across the country. The visit of JSB to the Newhall Stage at Shattuck-St. Mary’s School is a retrospective celebration of 30 years of creative innovation. This special tour takes JSB to ten Greater Minnesota cities. A company of eight JSB dancers perform multiple pieces from the company’s first three decades.
